The Brooklyn Star Was Originally Opened In 2009 By Chef/Owner Joaquin Baca But Was Closed Due To A Fire Just Two Months Shy Of It’s First Anniversary. In Early 2011, The Star Was Reopened In A New Location With Partners Simon Gibson (Bar Director) And Bill Reed (Service Director).
The Second Location, Situated In What Used To Be Neighborhood Landmark, Crisci’s Restaurant, Is On The Corner Of Lorimer And Conselyea Just Steps From The Lorimer L Train Stop. The Star Is Open For Brunch On Saturdays And Sundays And Dinner Seven Nights A Week With A Late Night Menu From Midnight Until 2 Am. Delivery Is Also Offered Every Night From 6pm Until Midnight. One Can Expect An Often Changing Menu Based On The Philosophies, Techniques And Traditions Of American Home Cooking And A Full Selection Of Beer, Wine, And Classic And House Cocktails.
